Bridging Investment Strategies and Local Action: Lessons from CLIMATEFIT and Beyond

Event description

This webinar will explore how European regions and cities are turning climate adaptation plans into actionable, finance-ready investment strategies. Building on the foundations laid during the first EUNLRT webinar, this second session focuses on the practical steps needed to bridge local climate priorities with investment pipelines, highlighting both external experiences and insights emerging from CLIMATEFIT’s pilot territories.

Event summary

As part of the EU Resilience Task Force Webinar Series, this session will examine how public authorities, financial institutions, and technical partners can work together to shape credible and scalable investment strategies for climate adaptation. Participants will hear from external organisations engaged in adaptation finance, as well as from CLIMATEFIT partners and territories currently developing their Investment Strategies (IS) and Investment Plans (IP). Through concrete examples, expert inputs, and an interactive panel discussion, the webinar will provide guidance on overcoming barriers, strengthening stakeholder coordination, and unlocking financing pathways. The session will also reinforce peer-to-peer learning within the emerging European Network of Local Resilience Taskforces (EUNLRT) and prepare the ground for upcoming replication workshops.
