Description

The department of Environment and spatial development is a department of the Flemish Government is mainly concerned with the environment, spatial development, climate adaptation, the green economy and animal welfare. It aims to be an ambitious and transparent organization committed to achieving environmental and climate goals, sustainable use of space and the sustainable handling of various natural resources. The ambition of the departement is to simultaneously create a low-carbon, energy-efficient and climate-intelligent living environment that also achieves a strong link between ecology and economy.

Role in the project

Flanders region represents the Belgium leader case study. The department of Environment & spatial development will also contribute to all work packages during the project.
