Description

The Climate Agency of Strasbourg (ACS) is a one-stop shop for solutions in housing, mobility, energy, greening and sustainable consumption covering Strasbourg metropolitan area (340 km² - 500K inhab – 33 municipalities). As a non-profit and independent agency, it brings "cross-sectoral" expertise on climate and energy to citizens, municipalities and companies of the territory and aims to accelerate and facilitate the implementation of the Eurometropolis Climate Plan (SECAP) and reach climate neutrality and energy transition objectives. Created in 2022, the climate agency team is composed of more than 20 multidisciplinary staff spread over 4 main departments: 

  • Adaptation to climate change and nature based solutions 
  • Energy efficiency and renovation of private and public buildings 
  • Low carbon transport solutions 
  • Financing of climate and energy transitions 
The agency works in close cooperation with the Eurometropolis and City of Strasbourg (main local authority) and with its more than 90 local organizations members composed of local authorities and agencies, sectoral private companies, and civil society organizations.  Main role in the project: ACS will facilitate the work in the French case study in the Eurometropolis of Strasbourg and french counterparts including french FIEs. ACS will also facilitate engagement of stakeholders involved in adaptation financing at local, regional and national level.
